Earthing, make the change

When you start earthing or grounding, your body may need to get used to grounding. 
All the body's cells recover to a new natural balance. This can mean that your body is accelerating into a detoxification process. Your body wants to get rid of what it doesn't need. This can cause headaches, excessive sweating, a flu-like feeling and waking up tired.

We regularly get questions about what is normal when you start grounding. It is difficult to state generally what is normal; it varies from person to person. Often you discover something new in the area of health, when you already suffer from disease. 

For example, if your body has not been grounded for a long time and you start grounding, you may start to notice how tired you are and how your body is in need of rest. Before you recover, the fatigue can sometimes get worse for a while. Because only now do you really feel how tired you actually are.

When you start grounding you become more aware of how your body is. 
If you are reasonably healthy and your sleep pattern was reasonable to good, you may not notice much difference. Except a deeper, more relaxed sleep or being able to work more pleasantly and longer at a computer with the earthing mat. 

But if you always have cold feet, sleep poorly or snore, you immediately have three things to address that will change a lot. Earthing improves circulation, which means that blood flows well everywhere, including to your feet. And you will find that you sleep deeper because of the relaxing effect. About snoring we hear a lot that it quickly becomes much less or even goes away completely.

Sometimes we also hear about a tingling feeling during the first nights of grounded sleep. This has to do with the energy that flows into your body from the earth. This energy can cause some pain in body parts that do not function as well because of poor circulation. 
Once you ground regularly, this will diminish or even disappear altogether. 

Some people first start with a short time with their feet on a mat, others go to sleep immediately grounded. If you have health issues and experience earthing as a challenge at first, you can slowly build up the time per day. Also drink more water. 
If you immediately experience earthing as pleasant, then such a period of adjustment is not necessary. 

For most people, they notice a difference within a maximum of 6 weeks.
