The product tester is a very sensitive device to determine whether there is electrical conduction between two points. 
You receive a 50% discount on the product tester with the purchase of an earthing undersheet.  

With the product tester you test:

1. Whether you are grounded yourself via the earthing product;

2. Whether everything is connected properly and your earthing product is conducting well;

3. Whether a cable conducts well;

4. Whether your earthing product is grounded (via ground rod or grounded outlet);

5. Whether your outlet is grounded.

The product tester can easily check if the earthing product and the connection cables are connected properly, conduct well and work well. This can be used when connected to the earth with an EU adapter in a grounded outlet as well as with the use of a ground rod.
If you use the ground rod as a connection, order a splitter with it for easier testing.
With an EU adapter, this is not necessary.

When using the EU adapter, plug the cord of the tester in the EU adapter where the earthing product also is connected to and place the tester on the earthing product you want to test.
A green light will continuously illuminate to confirm that your product and the cables are working properly.

When using the ground rod you can use the product tester to see if the earthing product with ground rod is grounded. For this purpose, place the product tester on the earthing product and connect the end of the cord to a grounded surface: outside on the earth, or inside on an unpainted heating pipe, water pipe or running water.
If you have an EU adapter, you can put the end of the cord of the product tester into the EU adapter in a grounded outlet.
If you have a splitter, use it in the ground rod and connect the cord of the product tester to it.
If the product tester gives a continuous illuminated green light, the earthing product is grounded.

This way you can also check if the ground of an outlet is connected to the earth outside, or if the radiator for heating or running water from the tap is connected to the earht.
If that is the case, the green light will continuously illuminate. 

The tester is not suitable for testing whether you are grounded yourself if you do not make direct contact with the earthing product. This is the case, for example, if you lie on your own fitted sheet with the earthing undersheet underneath. If you still want to test this, you will need an Earthing multimeter.
